Man today was like yesterday's weather without the rain. It was a bit cooler and guess the winds weren't cutting through us like knives. The good thing about all this rain we've had is that all the flowers we planted are really about to burst open! We should have tons of tulips open by tomorrow or by that evening. I can't wait. I don't mind winter but I hate the way everything looks so dead, gray and brown.

I felt so good today. My sinuses have been pretty rough. We are already seeing the beginning stages of pollen. Icky yellow powdery pollen. That's probably why my head has felt like it has the past couple of days. But I'm not about to complain. I feel better than I've felt in weeks.

First day with the new hire and I had to explain the rate of pay situation. She said she really thought I said $8.50 but I'm certain I didn't. She's only part time working maybe 20-25 hours a week with little to no responsibility or experience so I felt $8.50 was way overpaid for the position. Trust me, it is. But she's okay with it. She did well today. I think everything overwhelmed her. I'm not the best trainer. I talk too fast and expect people to "get" it pretty quick. I kept reminding her I don't mind telling her over and over if she doesn't get it the first time. Well, there's a limit to everything but I know that I usually go too fast for most people. I feel like she'll work out. I hope. Wish me luck.

My birthday's just around the corner. Falling on Wednesday this year. I'll be working but that doesn't really bother me much. My family sorta surprised me with a Cookie Monster(Oh I love the Cookie Monster) birthday cookie from The Cookie Company and a punching bag and gloves. Oh I know why the hell did they get me that? I asked them no actually I begged them to get me the punching bag. Somehow I think it will help me get some of my stress out in a more healthy manner than getting sick. Bonus that it gets your heart pumping. So I'm loving this birthday! I feel grrreat! *Wanders off humming the Rocky theme.*
