It's hard to be "The one" that pisses people off, that enforces the rules, it's easier to sit back and play. No stress. No worries about stepping on toes or ruffling feathers. This moderating thing isn't all fun and games. Ego tripping. It's a tough job monitoring. Obviously people don't like being politely prompted to veer back on course. But it's very necessary otherwise we have chaos. We all have to keep in mind here that we're human. We make mistakes. As mistakes go they're not intentional. We're sensitive individuals and sometimes take things too close to heart. Then we have people who live to bait others into cattiness. True. We've all seen it. You can tell when somebody posts something hoping to stir up some trouble. Strike a nerve. Shake up the fandom. Call it boredom. Any way, that's another reason why we have mods.
I don't think I can stress enough how much one particular mod helps me out. I'm grateful you're there for me, Suzanne. I wouldn't just trust anyone with the privilege. I don't just toss out mod positions for the sake of post tallies or time spent on the forum. You can't simply just say "Hey! I wanna be a mod." Well at least on my forum you can't. It doesn't work that way. I try to find someone who understands my vision of what I want the forum to be. I found that in Suzanne. So girl, stay with me on this.
Now on to this stuff about Jessica being all sad and depressed. Hello girl, you're our sunshine around here! We can't let all this bring you down. It's over and done. The dust has cleared.
